Samba was bred by Yvonne Lehey. She came to Narawin Stud a few years ago and has since been used both as a broodmare and a riding horse. Most recenly, she represented Narrawin Stud at the Rural Lifestyle Expo in Ballarat (2017).
Can do corto to largo, and trocha. Nice canter, too.
Samba is a medium sized mare with good conformation and excellent legs and feet. She has slight tiger eyes. She is not the most beautiful mare in the paddock, but she looks very beautiful under saddle.
Samba is easy handle and ride and sometimes doubles as visitor riding horse. However, she has plenty of brio and gives a fine ride to a good rider. She is no problem to bring back into work after time out. She is forward, tireless, good with other horses and patient with learner riders.
Samba is from predominantly Puerto Rican lines and is a granddaughter of Alicante on the sire’s side. On the dam’s side she goes back to Kofresi.
