Personality
Marcelo is curious and intelligent. He was a little standoffish at the start, but he is now convinced that people are bringers of food and providers of scratches and other good things.
Genetics
Marcelo’s sire Rev, a highly successful horse in his own right, is from well known, highly successful Columbian lines. Chica combines Columbian bloodlines (granddaughter of El Aguila de San Felipe) with the best of Puerto Rican lines (granddaughter of Alicante). Marcelo at just over two years of age now shows that depth of breeding and quality and I expect him to grow into a substantial horse. He was born a plain chestnut, but as he is getting older he is showing a flaxen mane and tail and rabicano markings, with extensive ticking on the flanks and a coon tail.
