Narrawin Stud

The stud was established in 1995. From the beginning, there was a focus on Gaited Horses, however, the breeds that formed the mainstay of the stud changed from Peruvian Paso Horses and American Saddlebreds to Paso Finos and Icelandic Horses over the years.

Chris Bahlo

I have been involved with horses since I was in school. My first horses in Germany were Haflingers. After coming to Australia, I have competed in many disciplines, mainly on my Australian Stockhorse, but also with several other horses I have owned over the years.

Training philosophy

I have spent a lot of time with horses and have had the opportunity to ride and train many horses of diverse breeds. I have tried the ideas and methods of some horsepeople, tried out many of my own ideas, and after making many mistakes, have come up with a synthesis of concepts that work well for me.
